Among the many CMS (content management systems) out there, WordPress is undoubtedly the best choice to make when it comes to SEO. Let’s explore Why Google Loves WordPress for SEO.

There are many reasons why Google loves your WordPress website for SEO, and here are just some of them.

Why Google Loves WordPress for SEO

WordPress was created to fit Google’s complex algorithm. From readable links to metadata, users can easily tweak their websites in order to increase its page rank.

And, since WordPress is an open source software, meaning that people from around the world are always working on it to further develop and improve its system, WordPress is constantly being updated to keep up with Google’s never-ending algorithm changes.

Handy SEO Plugins

There are a ton of free plugins available for WordPress users to install. These plugins boost a site’s speed and optimise it for SEO. There are plugins that create site maps to be submitted to Google Webmaster Tools for faster indexing. All In One SEO and Yoast are two excellent SEO plugins.

Customise Your Permalinks

WordPress allows you to customise your web pages’ permalinks. You can include keywords in these permalinks or give it any title you want. A keyword in a page’s permalink boosts its page rank.

Add Keyword Tags

With every post you publish, you have the option of adding tags. You can include many keywords on separate tags for one post. These tags will often come up in Google’s search results even if they were not included in the post itself.

Content, Content, Content

With WordPress, adding content to your website is a breeze. Just paste some text, customise the font, add a few links, hit the publish button, and you are done. Content is the most important thing for SEO, and the ease of doing it in WordPress is a great plus.

Add Images and Videos

Uploading media to a WordPress site is very straightforward. Just click on the add media button and you will be given an option to upload files. Sites that have images and videos tend to rank much higher in the search results.

You also have the option of inserting keywords into an image’s alternative text, which is the text that will appear when an image is for some reason unavailable. Google reads the image according to its alternative text, so these keywords can significantly help out a site’s page rank.

Security

WordPress offers maximum security for your website. This protects it from hackers and people with malicious intent. If a website is hacked, its SEO rank can greatly decrease.

This can be because hackers can install a virus on your site or make some of its pages redirect to a phishing site. Even if they just fill your website with senseless text it will bode no good for your site’s SEO.

Speed

WordPress is a pretty speedy CMS, with minimal loading time. In addition, there are many plugins that will speed up your website even more. Fast loading times are good for SEO. They also reduce your bounce rates and attract more visitors.

Two More Benefits

Some other benefits of using a WordPress site are built-in RSS (really simple syndication) feeds and its clean code. As content is added to the RSS feed, a link is created which links back to the website.

This can serve as a useful back link (though back links are not as important and effective as they once were). A clean code means that no malicious or defective code can be added to a site’s HTML, which would lower its page rank.
