How to create your new POP email on Samsung Galaxy

Summary of POP email settings

Please note: Make sure you use your own email address and given password when completing the following steps.

Incoming Mail Server

Incoming Mail Server:  pop.partnerconsole.net
User Name: (ie. john@johnsplumbing.com.au)
Password: Enter the password you were provided
Port: 110
Use SSL: NONE
Authentication: Password
Account Type: Select POP

Outgoing Mail Server

Outgoing Mail Server:  smtp.partnerconsole.net
User Name: (ie. john@johnsplumbing.com.au)
Password: Enter the password you were provided
Port: 587
Use SSL: NONE
Authentication: Email address and Password

IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete your existing POP account

This could lead to loss of emails.The below steps are ONLY for setting up a brand new POP email account.

How to create your new POP email on Samsung Galaxy

For our clients who are using our POP service for their email, Setting your email account up on your Samsung Galaxy is available as a reliable option when traveling, or any other times that you cannot access your usual email program.

Step 1.

From the Home screen, touch

Menu >android_Menu[1]     Settings > icon_menuSettings1   Accounts >  Icon_Settings_Accounts[1] Add account >  Icon_Settings_AddAccount[1]  Email icon_Email[1]

Step 2.

Enter your Email address and Password.

If this is not the first email account you are setting up on your device, you can mark Send email from this account by default to set this as the default email account.
Then touch Next.

Step 3

Your device will attempt to complete the setup process if your email server settings are available.
If you select Manual setup, or your provider’s settings are not loaded, you will be taken through the following steps.

Step 4

Select the type of email account you are setting up. Please choose POP3 account.
We’ll walk you through setting up a POP3 account.

Step 5

Enter your incoming server settings.
This should include your:
Username: (ie. john@johnsplumbing.com.au)
Password: 
Enter the password you were provided
POP3 server: Enter pop.partnerconsole.net
Security type: Select NONE
Port
: 110
Delete email from server: Never
Then touch Next.

5-Email_IncomingServer[1]

 

Step 6

Your device will attempt to connect to the incoming server with the settings you have entered.
If unsuccessful, you will be prompted to Edit details; confirm your settings and try again.
If the connection is successful, you will be taken to the Outgoing server settings screen.
Enter your outgoing server settings.

This should include your:
SMTP server: Enter smtp.partnerconsole.net
Security type: NONE
Port: 587
Require sign-in: Yes
Username: (ie. john@johnsplumbing.com.au)
Password: Enter the password you were provided
Then touch Next.

 

6-Email_OutgoingServer[1]

Step 7

Your device will attempt to connect to the outgoing server with the settings you have entered.
If unsuccessful, you will be prompted to Edit details; confirm your settings and try again. If the connection is successful, you will be taken to the Account options screen.
Touch Next when you have finished making your selections.

7-Email_AccountOptions[1]

 

Step 8

You will be asked to give this internet mail account a unique on-screen name.
The unique account name is used to differentiate this account from other email accounts on your mobile device.
Enter Your name as you would like it to be displayed on outgoing messages.
Touch Done to complete the setup process.

8-Email_AccountName[1]

 

You are finished! You should now go and test your emails.

Troubleshooting

Occasionally clients experience troubles with outgoing POP emails. This is generally due to their ISP (Internet Service Providers) and need to adjust the outgoing mail settings.

Some common ISP Outgoing Mail Servers are as follows – typically your username for these servers is your email account (i.e. yourname@isp.com) and associated password:


BigPond:
 mail.bigpond.com
Optus:
 mail.optusnet.com.au
iiNet: 
mail.iinet.net.au   or   mail.m.iinet.net.au
Westnet: mail.westnet.com.au
TPG: mail.tpg.com.au
Ozemail: smtp.ozemail.com.au
